emotional, melodic riffing over mostly relentless blastbeats only lets go for a few cathartic moments. here, its not a balancing act between crushing brutality and emotional sensibility; the one requires the other, similiar can be said about the influences drawn from screamo, grindcore and esp. black metal; its been refined to be a coherent mass where the music scratches many itches i have in any of these three very beloved genres. anyways, this album makes no detours in crushing everything
